WW2 British Royal Army Service Corps Air Despatch arm badge

This is a neat example of a used RASC Air Despatch arm badge. These were worn by the man who were dropping containers and baskets with supplies in Europe and Asia. They are well known for there action at Arnhem 1944. Throughout the battle, Air Despatchers of 63, 223, 253, 398, 799 and 800 Companies RASC (AD) flew 611 re-supply sorties, dropping just over 2000 tons from Stirling and Dakota aircraft during the period 18 -26 Sept 1944. This badge has the door and a intact tail. You will find them with a cliped tail aswell. The badge is in a overal nice used condition.
