Out of print book : Padre with the Para by Revd E.N.Downing

This is a neat little book written by Revd E.N.Downing which was published in 1990. Revd Downing was a Chaplain to the 2nd Parachute Brigade and won a scholarship to Worcester College Oxford in 1929 where he discovered a talent for rowing. He went for ordination training at Westcott House, Cambridge in 1934, and was ordained in 1935, serving his title at Bristol ,St John the Evangelist. The book is a mixutre of wartime memories 1939-45 with illustrations with a foreword by Brigadier H B Coxen. It has 67 pages.
