A great example of a - full matching (unfortunately washed) - issued set of embroided Airborne strips

This is a perfect example of a nice set of issued embroided Airborne arms-of-service strips aka a 'Airborne balkje'. These strips were introduced at the end of 1942 and were in use by a mix of Parachute and Glider trained soldiers of the 1st, 6th and the Canadian Airborne Troops till the end of 1944. There is a variation of types and makers of these Airborne strips. This set has a fine lettering and has the well known 'glue or paste' backing. These Airborne strips are getting harder to find. Due this set has been washed I have priced it accordingly. Difficult to find these days.
