This is a great example of a difficult to find and sought after Canadian - so called Kangaroo - Armoured Carrier Regiment cap badge. The Kangaroo’s Commanding Officer, Lt.-Col. Gordon Churchill was reluctant to use a symbol so closely associated with Australia, but by the time the regiment was formed in October of 1944, the nickname for the men and their vehicles had stuck. The badge was designed and produced by JR Gaunt and Sons of London England and found that only 1000 brass cap badges were made. Hard to upgrade.
